The 17480 is a 1 dBd gain 1/2 wave antenna with RPSMA connector designed for use with radios operating in one or more of the following bands: 824 to 960 MHz, 1.71 to 1.99 GHz, and 2.40 to 2.48 GHz. It is typically used with one of our 900 MHz or 2.4 GHz radio products with an RPSMA antenna jack, such as the RF401A, RF411A, RF416, or NL240. This low-cost antenna is typically used in applications where it is advantageous to locate the antenna a small distance away from the radio, but high antenna gain is not required to maintain a strong RF link. For example, a base station radio may be placed on a desk while this antenna adheres to a nearby window.
Read MoreThe 17480 is a tri-band 1 dBd gain 1/2 wave antenna with RPSMA pin (male) connector. The antenna has an integrated 3 m (9.8 ft) RG-174 cable. It has an omnidirectional radiation pattern and operates well within three different frequency bands: 824 to 960 MHz, 1.71 to 1.99 GHz, and 2.40 to 2.48 GHz. It is fully weatherized and is therefore suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It has adhesive pads that allow it to adhere to flat, non-conductive, surfaces such as windows, drywall, ceiling tiles, plastic, etc.

The 17480 covers the frequency bands used by our spread-spectrum radios operating in the 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz range. However, because it has an RPSMA plug connector, the 17480 can only be directly connected to a radio product with an RPSMA jack. Adapters, such as pn 28477 and pn 18686, can be used to adapt this antenna to an RF connection other than RPSMA.
The 17480 connects to transceivers that have a reverse polarity SMA (RPSMA) connector. Campbell Scientific offers spread-spectrum radios, CR200(X)-series dataloggers, AVW200-series interfaces, and Wi-Fi network links that have this connector.
