The SP10R-PW is a 10 W photovoltaic power source capable of recharging batteries. Its 6.1 m (20 ft) cable terminates in a connector that attaches to a Campbell Scientific prewired enclosure.
The SP10R-PW is similar to the SP10-PW except it contains an on-board voltage regulator, allowing the SP10R-PW to supply power to a user-supplied battery mounted inside a Campbell Scientific prewired enclosure (PWENC).
Read MoreThe SP10-PW includes mounting hardware consisting of two part no. 17492 U-bolt and matching nuts. The U-bolt has a 5.398 cm (2.125 in.) space between the U-bolt legs. This hardware allows the solar panel to be mounted to a 0.75 in. to 1.5 in. IPS pipe [25.4 in. to 50.8 cm (1 in. to 2 in.) OD].
Please note that the SP20R-PW has a 2-mA continuous current drain (meaning that it consumes a small amount of power from the connected battery at night).
Note: Solar panel characteristics assume 1 kW m-2 illumination and 25°C solar panel temperature. Individual panels may vary up to 10%. The output panel voltage increases as the panel temperature decreases.
The SP10R-PW is compatible with user-supplied, 12 V flooded batteries such as deep cycle marine or RV batteries. It is not compatible with 12 V gel cell or AGM lead acid batteries such as the batteries contained in the BP12 or BP24 battery packs.
