The WindSonic4-LQ is a two-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer for measuring wind speed and direction. This sensor provides an alternative to the 034B-LQ, a traditional mechanical cup and vane anemometer. Unlike mechanical anemometers, there are no moving parts to be periodically replaced—minimizing routine maintenance costs.
WindSonics are manufactured by Gill Instruments Ltd.
Read MoreThe WindSonic4-LQ is a two-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer for measuring wind speed and direction. The cable for this version of the WINDSONIC4 has a military style connector and a user-specified lead length. The connector attaches to the RAWS-P enclosure, which mounts to a CM6/CM10 tripod, CM110-series tripod, or UT-series tower.
The WindSonic4-LQ outputs an SDI-12 signal that is read by the RAWS-P's on-board CR1000M module. This sensor provides an alternative to the 034B-LQ, a traditional mechanical cup and vane anemometer. Unlike mechanical anemometers, there are no moving parts to be periodically replaced—minimizing routine maintenance costs.
