The RF232 was replaced by the RF232A, which is also retired. It was located at the base station computer and served as a link to the field stations and repeaters. The RF232 included a 110/220 Vac to 12 Vdc transformer, RF95 modem, RS-232 port, and internal mount for the radio. Radio, antenna cable, and frequency-matched antenna were purchased separately. Computer needed to be IBM-PC compatible with an RS-232 serial port. AC power was required. Because the RF232 was intended for desktop operation, mounts were not supplied
